💰 Affiliate disclosure: HotelDrop earns commissions when you book a hotel through links in the extension. This is how the service is funded. The price you pay does not change. Full details in §7 below.
By installing or using HotelDrop ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, uninstall the Extension and do not use the service. These Terms apply to all users of the Extension and the hoteldrop.app website.
HotelDrop is a Chrome browser extension that compares hotel prices across multiple booking sites in real-time and optionally sends email alerts when a watched hotel's price drops. It is provided by an independent developer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Agoda, or any other booking site whose prices we display.
Prices displayed are fetched in real-time from booking-site APIs and third-party aggregators. We make no guarantee that displayed prices match what you will be charged at checkout. Always verify the final price on the booking site before completing a purchase.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
HotelDrop is free to use. There is no paid tier, no subscription, and no payment required at any point. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future, but the core price comparison and alert features will remain free.
Abuse limits apply to protect our API quotas: a maximum of 50 watched hotels per email address and a maximum of 10 alert emails per address per day. These are sanity limits, not paywalls.
When you provide your email address to set a price-drop alert, you agree to receive transactional emails from HotelDrop for that specific hotel watch. These are not marketing emails. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every alert email, or by emailing support@hoteldrop.app.
We will not add your email to a newsletter or marketing list without your explicit separate consent.
HotelDrop displays prices obtained from third-party APIs (Travelpayouts / Hotellook aggregator and direct booking-site integrations). Prices may differ from those shown on booking sites due to:
HotelDrop is not liable for any difference between a displayed price and the price charged at checkout. Always verify before booking.
HotelDrop participates in affiliate programs operated by Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, and other booking sites through the Travelpayouts affiliate network. When you click a "Book now" link inside the HotelDrop panel and complete a hotel booking within the affiliate cookie window (typically 30 days), HotelDrop receives a commission — usually 2–5% of the room rate — from the booking site.
The price you pay is not affected by this commission. You pay exactly the same amount whether you book through HotelDrop or go to the booking site directly.

The HotelDrop name, logo, and extension code are owned by the developer. Hotel prices, hotel names, and booking site content remain the property of their respective owners. We display this data in real-time under the terms of each booking site's API program.
The Extension is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HotelDrop and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed €100.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any part of it at any time. Booking-site DOM changes can break adapters; we aim to fix these within 48 hours but make no SLA guarantee. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruption.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the service for users who abuse the API rate limits, generate artificial affiliate clicks, or violate these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence. Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the developer's country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
